We know this industry from the inside out. Literally. Motorsport Solutions was founded by a former NASCAR driver and team manager. We know what it’s like to be in the driver’s seat, the pit, the paddock, the VIP suites and the stands. We know how to accelerate your brand growth by becoming an integral part of motorsports.
We use this experience to help our clients build and execute successful motorsports marketing programs.

We aren’t tied to a single series, team or driver, which allows us to be completely focused on creating the optimum motorsports marketing solution to meet your goals.
Motorsport Solutions was founded and is run by Alex Whitman. Alex‘s involvement with racing began in college when he spent summers working for Bill Saunders‘ Trans-Am race team. In Bill’s own words, Alex would do just about anything that would let him be part of the team, from “polishing wheels on the team’s race cars to waxing the car hauler.”
In 1995, Alex became a driver at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and began to race in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Series. Soon after, he began racing sports cars in the SCCA.
In 1998, Alex moved to North Carolina and made the transition to stock cars. From 1998 to 2003, he raced stock cars in the NASCAR Late Model Stock Series as well as the ARCA Re/Max Racing Series, regularly recording top 5 and top 10 finishes.
After several years behind the wheel, Alex was asked to help develop and manage the then new Hall of Fame Racing team owned most notably by NFL stars Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach.
As the team’s assistant general manager and one of its first two employees, Alex was instrumental in securing the team’s sponsorship, establishing its headquarters and building a 50-person team in just four months before the team’s inaugural season in NASCAR’s premier series.
During his time managing Hall of Fame Racing, Alex worked closely with other team members administering over $50-Million in sponsorships and managing everything from the team’s hard assets to personnel and budgets.
Alex has also served as an automotive marketing consultant for AMG, BMW, Lexus, Maybach and Mercedes-Benz.
Today, Alex offers his insider’s perspective and years of motorsports industry experience to our clients, helping to create and activate some of the most successful sponsorships in the industry.
Alex lives in Dallas with his wife Paula and their twins, Luke and Elianna.
“The reason Alex’s racing heritage is so important to sponsors is because he knows every in and out of the sport. He can assess a team’s and driver’s potential, he can write a plan for a sponsor and then activate it and most important make sure it all works together to sell product. If it has anything to do with racing and sponsorship, Alex Whitman is your man.”
- Bill Saunders, Trans-Am Driver, Former NASCAR Team Owner
“I had the good fortune of working with Alex on our NASCAR venture a few years ago [...] He was a leader and contributed a large amount to the success of our team. I could always count on him to make the right call professionally and do the right thing ethically.”
- Roger Staubach, NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback, NASCAR Team Owner
